JAMB Closes 2016 Admission Into Federal And State Universit
Candidates looking to get into polytechnics, monotechnics, colleges of education and private universities still have a chance.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has terminated admissions into tertiary institutions for the year 2016.
This was revealed on Thursday, December 8, 2016 by Professor Is-haq Oloyede, its Registrar and Chief Executive.
An opportunity is available however for candidates seeking admission into polytechnics, monotechnics, colleges of education and private universities.
“All tertiary institutions and the general public are hereby informed that the 2016 admissions exercise into public universities closed on Wednesday November 30, 2016.
“However, the minister of education has approved an extension of two weeks (from December 1 to December 15, 2016) for all polytechnics, monotechnics, colleges of education and private universities.“All institutions concerned are advised to promptly process their recommendations to JAMB within the approved period,” Oloyede said in a statement.
The JAMB registrar also disclosed that the education body has invited computer-based test centres owners to apply for an online accreditation.
